Hot and Not

Alyssa Milano. Hot because she's... well, hot. Extra hot because she writes this:

Alyssa Milano's Baseball Blog

Not hot because she's a fan of the:

You win some, you lose some. I'll give her props for being hardcore though. She's apparently still "friends" with Barry Zito after their breakup, but about to break it all off because of the Giants' recent mastery over the Fucking Dodgers. ;)

Eric Wynalda

Rocks. For those that don't know, he's the all time leading scorer for the United States Men's National Soccer Team. He's now a soccer analyst for ESPN, and is known for not pulling punches and telling it like it is. I can appreciate that kind of no-bullshit style, as you all know that my patience with bullshit is nigh on ZERO. Anyhoo, here's what he had to say about that motherfucker Jim Rome:

Jim Rome can suck my dick! And he should be very afraid, because I’m the kind of guy, if I get too many drinks in me, I will club his ass.

Jim Rome is an ignorant son of a bitch who, like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly, are bastards who are getting paid big bucks to be as stupid, condescending, and idiotic as possible on national media outlets. Granted, it pulls in the ratings by attracing the stupid, condescending, and idiotic demographic, but come on! Get these idiots off the air! Whatever happened to those FCC regulations demanding broadcast media to take a stake in providing social services? It'd sure as hell be one great social service to get some quality broadcasters to replace these blowhards.

Don't Fuck With Kirk

AUDIO LINK - Not Safe For Work!

Yeah, some of you might think that William Shatner's just being a dick here, but I hate it when people ask me to do something that they know nothing about and then "suggest" some improvements on my style, technique, etc. etc. etc.

Moral of the story? Question a professional at your own risk. Especially one with a major ego like William Shatner.

Or me.

Bad Day

No, not for me, but for the two ladies that were in this car:

I hear at least two tire-screeching stops at the corner of Victory and Topanga Canyon every day. I've seen cars that have spontaneously caught on fire and crashes between cars and cars, trucks and cars, motorcycles and cars, etc. etc. etc., but this is the first time I've ever seen a car dumped on. Fortunately, both driver and passenger seemed to be unhurt (but severely traumatized I'm sure). LAFD was excellent as always and on the scene within minutes.

Word of warning, watch out at Victory and Topanga. All sorts of strange things can happen to you here!

Wind

It was pretty windy here in the Valley today. Definitely not windy enough to knock down powerlines like in Commerce, but windy enough to get the windows rattling and the car fighting back with every playful breath from above.

With the wind came some much needed cold fresh air to clear out that stagnant smoggy sludge that usually fills the skies here in Southern California. I just stood outside and took deep breath after deep breath this morning, trying to remember the last time it was that such an invigorating wind swept along. Though it may be shocking for some that know me, I found that I couldn't remember the last time the air made me feel so refreshed and raring to go gig 'em. That's right, I couldn't remember! Of course, I chalked it up to my aging brain and let it pass, only to have a different feeling start to boil in my belly.

It's nearly the end of the day now, but that simmering boil from this morning is starting to boil over and out of me. I'm restless. Full of wanderlust. Stircrazy.

Crazy?

Not!

I guess it's my age, or maybe the smell of particle board bonding glue from my new file cabinets, but I feel like I should get my life moving without wasting anymore time. I need to finally decide if it's time to do what I want to do, or do what I should do with my life. Either way, I have to get going! Move move moving!

Hopefully today's gusts will help pick me up and send me on my way...
